| This week we did another pretty big update to WordPress SEO, containing two major changes. The first of these changes is the direct result of Google's recent announcement of quitting the rel=author project which we blogged about before. It's a rather simple change: we removed all the functionality to do with rel=author from the plugin. The second of the changes is the addition of a new piece of markup, on the frontpage of every site. It is a piece of metadata which gives Google all the needed info to show a search engine in your sites sitelinks. More info on that can be found here. The short of it: you don't need to do anything, it's taken care of. So: update to WordPress SEO 1.6 or 1.4 if you're running our Premium SEO plugin! |
