It has been a while since our last newsletter. Although the frequency of our newsletters was low, we have been working quite hard during these last summer months. Team Yoast is expanding and our plans to improve our plugins and services are rapidly taking form.
This week, we are proud to announce a new update in our WordPress Premium Plugin. Also, we would like to inform you about the release of our very own Yoast-book, which is due in a few weeks! Tutorial Videos in WordPress SEO Premium
This week, we released new features in our WordPress SEO Premium plugin. In the 1.3 release of WordPress SEO Premium we added tutorial videos for the entire plugin. These videos explain how to use the snippet preview, page analysis and social tabs for everyone who’s allowed to write a post. For administrators, there are also videos that explain the meaning of all the settings in the plugin. These videos were made as the result of a partnership with Shawn Hesketh of WP101, who does some of the best tutorial videos available for WordPress.

While in the past we had a plugin specifically for tutorial videos we’ve decided that this should be in the premium plugin. Our guideline is, if it’s a feature that would benefit every user of our plugin, it should be in premium. If it’s only of use for a specific group of users, it should be a separate plugin. Those of you who have a license for the old (and no longer available) Video Manual plugin will soon receive an email with a discount code to buy the Premium plugin. We have written a book in which we have combined all our knowledge about making awesome WordPress sites. Our book will help you optimize every aspect of your WordPress site. We give extensive information and tips about (of course) SEO, cover important navigation and usability issues and give tips on how to increase your sales. We’ll also provide practical tips that help you do your own (conversion) research, interpret your data using Google Analytics and help you to create your ideal Social Media strategy. The chapters are all written by our very own Yoast team members. The book is specifically written for those of you that already have a WordPress site, but need help to turn it into a fantastic WordPress site.
